There is a lot more to medical cannabis than ‘getting high’ and slowly, as medical dispensaries are able to operate we are learning how to use the plant to truly heal. Extractions are used to cook delicious, medicinal treats and also to create wax which allows for a more intense effect to help replace opioid treatments. They are also used to create topical balms and salves.
I battle a lot of pain in my neck and shoulders, I believe that’s where I hold my stress. So when I first found topical cannabis salves I was willing to do anything. Topical cannabis salves come in CBD only, which are legal federally, or in a THC included version. As always I recommend utilizing all cannabinoids but if you don’t have a medical card then I would recommend the CBD most definitely, it is effective just not as effective.
The brand of salve that I am using is Chronic Health Pain Re-Leaf Ointment. I am using the regular version but they just came out with a CBD High Ointment that I can’t wait to try. I apply this when my muscles are sore, my kidneys are throbbing and when I have painful cramps from my cycle. It works for absolutely all of it. This is an all around healing balm and I recommend it to EVERYONE. It is pretty stanky like cannabis, so keep use for home with this specific kind of balm unless you don’t care and then go wild and smell like cannabis all over town. I do that :D. If you want, you can add a couple drops of an essential oil to offset the smell.
